Brooks & Kay are two earth-gems, for sure. I admire very much their devotion to Jocassee and to the earth. Thank you for featuring this dynamic duo, Jeanne.
I like the answer both Brooks and Kay give to your question about how they connect with Nature. Kay's reply about with every breath they take is a great point. An excellent way to help stay mindful of our part of Nature as a whole.
Another wonderful post/ interview. It's always refreshing to encounter such enthusiastic supporters of nature and the environment. Their last couple comments are wake up calls I'd love to see plastered on every billboard and school Smartboard"
This is beautiful and important work and what a lovely couple! I am curious about the loon research and the presence of the loons throughout this article. Is there a special significance to loons - for example, as an indicator species of some sort? Or are they simply beloved? Thanks!
Their eyes are still twinkling. How lovely is that?

These are great insights from a pair of wonderful people.
Wow, if only all humans cared about our planet as these two do. How wonderful!

Another good one. One of these days, when my schedule is less limited, I want to do a Jocassee tour.
