I have long enjoyed sharing the full moon with friends who are miles and miles away. What a special way you have shared this full moon of May with us tonight. Thank you for thinking to do this.
In 1985, as a historically white professor, I did a sabbatical at Howard University a Historically Black University in Washington, DC. Washington can be very hot and humid.
While waiting for my bus to and from, I often noticed Black people clustered under trees rather than sweating on bus queues. I found that eminently sensible but also strangely comforting. Now I know why. Thank you. IE
An interesting memory, Irwin! I would guess that humans have been clustering under trees, in one fashion or another, from time immemorial. Trees are such good friends.

You are most welcome, Sandy! How special that you share the full moon with faraway friends. I love that, and I do it too.
Thank you for this beautiful writing. The full moon is a powerful time, yet baths us in silver light that is a balm at the same time.
I like that, Jenny ... powerful and soothing, both.
I love the Buddha stories!
Thank you, Cathy! Me too.
Happy Saga Dawa and what a beautiful tribute to trees and the moon. Thank you. They are also the teachings, aren't they?
Yes, Susi! indeed they are.

I enjoyed this reading journey. It was lovely to imagine a more natural outdoor existence.
I am a grateful new dharma student so I am happy to learn.
I sit under the shade of a sacred meyer lemon tree often.
I am mostly ecstatic about this gift of dharma and no longer waste time mindblown at its simplicity or wondering why I did not awaken earlier.
So it is true that the teacher will appear when the student is ready.
Sooo beautiful to read this, Nessa. I love that you have a sacred meyer lemon tree, and I love that the Dharma found you. Wonderful!
Thank you. I dont have the tree. She most certainly has me. 🤪🤷🏻♀️🧘🏻♀️🌳
I love this post ! thank you
