Thanks for the beautiful, timely reminder. My whole body wants to go on walking meditation! I do find running to be a great way to clear my head but it’s admittedly very different. Love your video!
This was a beautiful post, Jeanne. I enjoyed the video and plan to try some of the meditations tomorrow when, hopefully, the rain will stop and the sun will come out and I can go out and greet some of the trees in my backyard!
Thank you for sharing Jeanne. I try to do the same with meditative walks in Nature at least once a week. I have found these walks to be so helpful. Love that Kierkegaard quote about walking themselves into a state of well-being.
Thank you for this beautiful writing about walking. Walking is all of the elements you note. There is nothing else like walking to heal the mind, body and soul. Especially walking in Nature when we can. I walk outside just about every day, and on the rare days I do not, I feel unbalanced and lacking something critical.
Walking almost always makes me feel better, think more clearly and restores my view of the world to a healthier place. When I was around 30, I walked across New mexico as part of a larger walk called Global Walk for a Livable World. Those five weeks changed my life so much. I could barely drive over 25 miles per hour after having been on the earth for five weeks. I learned a lot about community, democracy, grit, human behavior, and about putting one foot in front of the other. Walking is life. Walking reconnects with life. Walking allows life to be seen and experienced. Thanks for this post.
Thank you for this, Jeanne. These simple practices feel like they are saving my life lately.
Yes, Laura .. lifesaving ... I agree!

Thanks so much, Julie! I've heard that running also clears the mind, yes. Good that you can do both!

Neil, I’m so glad you do the same. (And you pay the seed tax when you go, right?)
Always pay my seed taxes. :)

Jenny, I’m glad you have a daily walking practice — so healing! And you’re right; it’s good for mind, body and soul. Full medicine!
Maybe we should arrange a long walk.
That would be lovely. ❤️
“Nimble” has been on my mind.
Love from your mountain sister 🌱🌿💚
Dear one! Nimble is also a very good watchword for these times ... for sure.
